Location: Crossroads School, A Program of Crossroads Continuum
Hours: 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (depending on client attendance)
Pay Rate: $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience)
Training and Meetings: $15 per hour
Job Summary:
Crossroads Continuum is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem Center-Based Behavior Therapist to join our afternoon program for individuals aged 6-22. Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for teaching clients to achieve the goals outlined in their individualized treatment plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This role also involves completing administrative tasks, documentation, and participating in training under the guidance of the Practice Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure the care and safety of assigned clients at all times.
- Provide high-quality, one-to-one instruction according to each client’s program design.
- Complete the training program, including passing all required tests and observations.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards in all interactions.
- Implement instructional programs, behavior management procedures, and reinforcement systems as specified in each client’s Behavior Intervention Plan.
- Provide training and feedback to clients' families, helping them support their child's progress.
- Accurately record program data, behavior data, and other required documentation daily.
- Complete all required forms and end-of-session responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct generalization sessions in various therapeutic environments, including in-home and community settings, as prescribed.
- Complete and pass CALM training to ensure the safe management of challenging behaviors.
- Comply with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines to protect client confidentiality.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience working with children with autism and related disabilities (preferred).
- Knowledge and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) (preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Dropbox.
- A caring, compassionate, and punctual demeanor.
- Ability to physically engage with clients, which may involve running, squatting, lifting, prompting, and physical management.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Crossroads School.
- Successful completion of State and Federal criminal background checks (e.g., CORI and Fingerprinting).
