Position Overview

Job Summary:

Crossroads Continuum is looking for Skills Trainers to join our new Community Based Day Services program serving adults with autism and developmental disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new program!

 

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (No weekends. No nights)

Pay: $40,000-$45,000/yr

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in education, behavior analysis, or related field, preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in the field of autism, education, or human services field preferred.
  • A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check including references, CORI, and fingerprinting.
  • Ability to physically work with the client (may involve running, squatting, lifting, prompting and physical management)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management to program participants.
  • Provide personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with both their physical needs and defined support plans.
  • Implement community-based activities that promote personal choice, community inclusion, dignity, and respect while enhancing personal skill development.
  • Participation and implementation of Behavior Management Guidelines
  • Implement programming to meet the participant’s ISP goals.
  • Support program participants at community volunteer and vocational opportunities.
